Selling
Saved designs & customer accounts
People rarely buy a custom shirt in one sitting, save & reload is how they come back.
People rarely buy a custom shirt in one sitting. Save & reload is how the ones who “need to think about it” actually come back.
How it works for customers

A logged-in customer hits Save in the designer and the design lands in their My Designs folder. Next visit, they open My Designs, tap the design, and it loads back onto the shirt exactly as they left it, text, art, colors, front and back. From there they can keep editing, buy, or request a quote.
- Saving requires a WordPress account (WooCommerce’s normal customer login works as-is; the designer sends logged-out customers to your normal login page).
- Guests can still design and buy in one session, saving is the only part that needs the login.
- Designs reload as live, editable objects, not flattened screenshots.
- Each customer keeps up to 10 saved designs, at the limit they’re asked to delete one first, so a busy designer can’t quietly bloat your database.
What you see shop-side
Saved designs are stored on your site, not on ours, not in a third-party cloud. Quote requests and orders arrive with the design attached regardless of whether the customer saved it.
The other way designs travel: Share links
Every design can be shared with a link (all plans). The recipient opens it in the designer on your site, the team captain sends the mockup to the group, everyone’s opinion happens on your page, and the sale still runs through you. Sharing doesn’t need an account; the link carries the design.
Housekeeping
- A customer’s saved designs live on their user profile in your WordPress database. Submitted quote and order files (mockups + print art) are archived in your uploads folder (
wp-content/uploads/tshirt-designs/), browsable from My T Maker ▸ Dashboard. On Pro, the Dashboard’s attention panel flags the archive’s disk size before it becomes a hosting problem. - Deleting a customer account in WordPress removes their saved designs along with the rest of their profile data, the normal WordPress cleanup flow, nothing extra to do.
